Smiles was launched by Trapps Holmes and ran from 5th May 1906 until 10th November 1908, a total of 133 issues before merging with Funny Cuts.

Hamilton wrote a number of stories for this publication using his own name and a number of pen names. Details can be found on the table below.

The table below has been created using information gleaned from the Hamilton Bibliography and my thanks go to Allan S and John L for sharing it.

Some explanation of the colour coding is required.  Stories highlighted salmon pink are reprints, yellow are anonymous but likely Hamilton stories not yet verified and gold are anonymous but possible Hamilton stories.
