| The Comet.
The Comet (New Series) was first published by J. B. Allen on 20th September 1946. On 31st May 1949 the Comet was taken over by the Amalgamated press. It ran for a total of 587 issues before being incorporated with the Tiger on 17th October 1959.

| Billy Bunter in the Comet Billy Bunter appeared in the Comet in various formats from 1950-1958. Issues 85-96 were reprints from earlier Magnets but issues 97-135 contained genuine new stories by Frank Richards. Later issues were in comic strip format.
