The Union Jack Library Library (Halfpenny, first series) was published by the Amalgamated Press and ran from 28th April 1894 until 10th Oct 1903, a total of 494 issues. The second (New) series was launched on 17th September 1903 until 18th February 1933, a total of 1531 issues before being replaced by the Detective weekly.

The listing below has many gaps I would like to fill so if you can help please get in touch even if it is only to confirm whether a particular issue has a Hamilton story or not. Obviously scans or photocopies of the missing issues would be much appreciated!  If you can help in any way then please contact me.

Charles Hamilton wrote a number of school and seafaring stories for the Union Jack over a 22 year period although I am inclined to think the later stories may be reprints - does anyone know?

Sexton Blake teams up with Nelson Lee in a few issues of the Union Jack. Michael Bailey comments "The Union Jack story is one of those great examples where Edwy Searles Brooks brought his characters together from different story papers. A nice little tale featuring both Sexton Blake and Nelson Lee. If Brooks could bring more people to his story paper then he would! He later did the same in the Boys' Realm during the late 20's."
