The Dreadnought.

The Dreadnought (1st series) was launched on the 9th March 1912 and only lasted 12 issues before the second series was launched. The second series ran for 121 issues before being renamed "The Dreadnought & War Pictorial". This name lasted 5 issues before again being renamed, this time as "The Dreadnought & Boys War Weekly". Eight issues later it was back to the Dreadnought. Issue 159 dated the 12th June 1915 was the last issue before being amalgamated with the Boys' Friend.

Charles Hamilton was well represented within the Dreadnought during it's short life. Approximately 30 Cliveden stores were reprinted from the Boys' Herald. A further 25 issues contained stories reprinted from the early days of the Magnet. At least one story featuring St Ethelberta's school appeared in the Dreadnought - this may be a reprint of a St Ethelbert's story originally published in Boys Realm issue 223 from 1906 but I don't have that issue so cannot check.
