King Cricket in the Boy's Realm

The Boys' Realm published the series King Cricket [254-278, 13.4.07-28.9.07] by Charles Hamilton, which recounted the events of a whole cricket season. It was very topical, as the stories included encounters with contemporary county sides, including the great players of the day. Alas, this also meant that the stories quickly dated, and, in contrast to Football Fortune, another Hamilton sports series, also published in the Boys' Realm, it was never reprinted.

Eric Fayne wrote an article on King Cricket in his 'Lets be controversial' column in Collectors Digest issue 273 from 1969. You can read it here.

Nandu and Michael have issues 255, 260, 261, 263-270 and 272-276. If anyone can supply digital photos, scans or photocopies of the missing issues  254, 256-259, 262, 277 and/or 278 then we would all be extremely grateful. If you can help then please contact me.

You can read the issues which have already been scanned below. They are available in two formats, original and black & white. The black white images are rather harsh for reading on line but better for printing.
