Ace High Western Comic.

The Ace High Western Comic was a short lived story paper published by Gould-Light in the Fifties. This publication featured a newly created Hamilton character - a young cow puncher by the name of Slick Dexter. Slick was 16 years and worked for Old Man Poindexter at the Circle-Bar ranch.

Although Hamilton was undoubtedly best known for his school stories he was no stranger to the Wild West having already created the Rio Kid for the Modern Boy and Packsaddle for the Gem. Shortly after Ace High closed he would go on to publish a western novel The Lone Texan.

Two original issues are available for download via the links on the table below courtesy of Steve Holland and Michael B. The other stories are available in reprint format. If you are able to provide scans/photographs of the original publication then please contact me.

Slick’s adventures were reprinted in 1959 by Racecourse Press on behalf of publishers G.T. Ltd of London. Scans can be downloaded via the links on the table below.
